Use Descriptive, Searchable Titles

Your phrase title is what you search for. Make it memorable and descriptive:

Use Prefixes to Organize

Group related phrases with prefixes for easy filtering:

• Email templates: email-thankyou, email-followup, email-oom
• Code snippets: js-log, js-func, py-class
• AI prompts: ai-explain, ai-review, ai-summarize
• Business data: biz-vat, biz-addr, biz-phone

When you type the prefix, all related phrases appear together.

Leverage Dynamic Placeholders

Note: Dynamic inserts are available in PhraseVault v2.3.0 and later.

Make your phrases interactive and reusable:

• {{input:Name}} – Prompts for input when pasting
• {{date}} – Inserts current date
• {{date:long}} – Inserts formatted date (e.g., "January 13, 2026")
• {{date:+5}} – Inserts date 5 days from now
• {{clipboard}} – Inserts current clipboard content

Example: Hi {{input:Name}}, thank you for your email from {{date:-3:long}}.
