If Windows SmartScreen warns about the PhraseVault® installer, verify that you downloaded it from the official site before choosing Run anyway. The installer is code-signed, but SmartScreen also checks download reputation, so a new release can still trigger an unrecognized-app warning.
How to continue
- Download the installer from the PhraseVault download page.
- Click More info and check the app and publisher. If the publisher looks wrong, or the warning names a detected threat, stop and email office@spqrk.net.
- Click Run anyway.
If Run anyway is missing on a work PC, ask your IT administrator.
Other ways to install
The Microsoft Store listing and winget install ptmrio.phrasevault use this same signed installer. A license holder can request the source by emailing office@spqrk.net and signing a non-disclosure agreement, then build it. That build isn't the signed release. See the source-available license.
